1. Tips For Travel.
1.Make sure that your checkin and cabin bag’s weight is within the prescribed limits mentioned on ticket. Excess baggage charge is USD 30/kg.
2.Winter in Sweden is extreme cold for us..! approx -20 degree with 2-3 feet of snow. so get your proper warm clothing . like thermals, good jacket, good grip shoe(branded sport shoe), Hand gloves, Cap, Maflor

3.Bring Indian masala's, pressure cooker(3 liter), wooden rolling board & pin if you required. (Not available here in shops.)
4.Bring 2-3 packets of ready to eat food(dont forget to declare when asked by authorities). In case if you did not get a chance to buy food after arrival.
5.Bring tiffin box for you. It should be microwave oven compatible. (Preferred Tupperware.)
6.Buy one universal adapter (EUROPE) see image if you are having 3 pin electronic device to use.
7.Currency of Sweden is SEK. Take care of your tickets, currency in cash , make sure currency loaded in travel card, Your passport, VISA, other important documents like Original marriage certificate and kid’s birth certificate.
8.keep a print of ticket in your bag chain cover which can be easily checked by airports authorities if in case of lost laguage.
9.Put a tag of your name and destination address on your luggage to identify in case of misplaced during travel.
10.Make sure that you have complete understanding of your roles and responsibility you are going to held.
11.Swedish people are very Good, Sensitive,Caring for each and everyone, take care while talking to them.(dont simply talk)
12.Don’t Do such activity which will spoil your , your superior’s or company’s Image during your travel and stay in Sweden.
13.Always reach to correct point of contact i.e your superior/HR for valid information and company policy.
14.As you received abroad initial settlement amount, expenses at abroad like Taxi/Bus fare etc. are borne by you.
15.Feel free to contact your respective reporting person in case of Emergency.
16.Don’t take alcoholic drink’s during travel to avoid problems.
17.Few things to take care at transit DOHA/DUDAI or any Airport.
- Keep track of your flight announcements and latest updates at display indicators eg. Related to terminal and time change etc.
- When you will get down at transit airport there will be a bus/tram which will drop you to connecting flight terminal.
- At any transit airport we have 3 exists 1.Arrival (Exit for country) 2.Transfer & Departure International 3.Transfer domestic. There will be a announcement in bus/tram and a person from airport authority will be there to make you aware of the required exits. Check your boarding pass it will have all information to go to Transfer & Departure International terminal.
- Arrival at terminal 5 or if terminal 2, Take a walk towards terminal 5
- Buy mobile SIM card and BUS (SL) pass.
- From arlanda catch a BUS 583 and reach Märsta station. (Display indicator on bus:BUS 583 mot Märsta station)
- From Märsta station get Train 41 and reach Södertälje. (Display indicator train as mot Södertälje Centrum)
- Reach Södertälje Centrum.
Come back to arrival gate at ground floor and go to left side exit(when you stand at arrival gate and cafe is in front of you) for bus stop.
You will reach to bus stop board no 15 which will say BUS no 583 (Frequency 20 min) mot Märsta station. Bus stop is at exactly same side in front of exit at 30 meter distance.
Always enter in a bus from front door. There is a swipe machine at front door, swipe your bus pass. There is no conductor in the bus. If you entered from any other door make sure you will swipe the card.
Note:- Keep eye on staions indicator inside a train/Bus which displays station name.
Route 1
From Arlanda terminal 5 to Södertälje Centrum direct train 41 from airport. This will charge you 120 SEK extra on your SL ticket. can be bought at information counter.
Route 2

Arlanda Terminal 5 to Märsta station using BUS no 583 (Approx 15 min, Last station) Frequency every 20 min.
buss 583 från Arlanda terminal 5 to Märsta station. Kliv av vid Märsta station.
Train no 41 to Södertälje Centrum (get down at södertälje centrum) Frequency every 20 min.
pendeltåg 41 från Märsta mot Södertälje Centrum. Kliv av vid Södertälje Centrum.

3. Where to buy SL( Stockholm Localtraffik) pass and mobile SIM card.
You will come out from arrival gate at arlanda terminal-5 and see ‘CAFÉ LUNCH’ in front of gate. Keep walking right-straight you will find Information counter and PRESSBYRAN. on the way you will find shop 7-11, Forex exchange, Toilet.
SL-Buss pass
Ask for any help at information counter if required. You can buy SL buss pass at ground floor Information Counter. This pass will cost 880 SEK (860 + 20 for pass card). This is the monthly pass and can be used in Train, Bus, Metro and few Listed ferry's of Stockholm county.
Note if traveling with family and you don’t want to take 2 passes you have a single travel ticket available at information counter for SEK125. OR
You can buy oneway/24hr/SEK200 prepaid pass at Information Counter. Tell bus driver that you are traveling to Sodertalje so he can charge you right ticket.
Mobile SIM card
Buy Comviq/Lyca mobile SIM card at PRESSBYRAN or Seven-Eleven shop. starter pack 100SEK for card + get 50SEK topup or get free from me.
4. Activities you must complete after arrival at SWEDEN.
- Report to your manager (at onsite- make a phone call on your arrival) and (at offshore -sending a mail) offshore office.
- Report to your CLIENT contact person.(you will receive all the details before you reach Sweden)
- Report to Field HR.
- Get your temporary ID card to enter CLIENT's premises and request your permanent ID to your Group manager/Maintenance Manager.
- Apply for Personal identity number or known as SSN- Social Security Number in Swedish TAX office (in Swedish called as Skatteverket) at Luna gallery top floor, Köpmangatan, Södertälje or any Skatteverket office near to you.
- Apply for Swedish ID card. You can apply this card in TAX office after you received your SSN. This card is made mandatory for opening bank account.
- Apply for Social insurance in TAX office. Its known as ‘Forsakringskassan’ in Swedish. Useful for parental and sick leave if applicable.
- Open bank account in SEB-Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken or NORDEA bank at Köpmangatan, Södertälje.
- Send your CLIENT time sheet on every Friday EOD.
5. Activities you must complete on end of deputation.
- Make sure that you will deactivate your SSN in tax office and put your India address and mobile# for future communication.
- Return ATM cards to bank to save 15 or 25 SEK fees per month. You can keep your bank account (Internet banking) active.
- Clean home before you leave. If you won’t clean it creates accommodation problem for others who are here and will come in future.
- Foreclose your contracts in Sweden at local vendors if any to avoid penalty.
6. Local Transportation at SWEDEN.
In Stockholm county you can use your Stockholm Local traffic i.e. SL bus card in BUS, Train, Tram and listed archipelagos ferry.
Use web www.sl.se to plan your local journey entering source and destination location or station name.
Always enter from front door and flash your SL card for validate your ticket/pass like you do it for office ID card to open door. SL Card looks like an ATM card.

8. Money transfer to India.
-Using ICICI-M2I.
• Initiate M2I request and get a transaction no.
• Login to your SEB bank account and do international transfer to local ICICI bank (Which is mentioned in wired transfer M2I form ) Account.
• Make sure that you entered correct account and transaction numbers each time.
• It takes 4-5 working day.
- Direct from your SEB bank account to your SBI/ICICI account in india.
• Register your nationalized bank account no with SWIFT code as international payee. it takes two hours for one time registration.
• Login to your SEB bank account and do international transfer to your registered Indian bank Account.
• It takes 3-4 working day.
